day 122: caves

Peter slept this night pretty bad because of the wind on the coast but although he wasn't very fit but we did a track to a huge cave. It was maybe the best cave I have ever seen, with many small gaps and thousands of smaller holes to creep in. There were three entrances and it wasn't easy to them all but it was so amazing.

day 121: Abel tasman

We started a little bit earlier in the day today to get the taxi ferry into the able tasman national park to do one of the great walks. Our plan was actually to make a tramp over some days but the great walks are always full so there was no possibility to spent the night in the park.
The walk was really amazing. There are many different bays with heaps of water and different colors you can't imagine it is so unbelievable. A great day with a lot of walking.

day 120: car broken?

Our day started again with thousand of sandflies. We did a tunnel track throw the longest tunnel in New Zealand but we took the off road track. It took a little bit longer.
We continued the drive to motueka and suddenly was the wheel very hard to turn. Something was broken and we had to change it.

day 119: pancake rocks

We started this day with a champion breakfast like every morning , said Kati and Anna goodbye and went back on the road, direction north. We stopped on a very touristy place. The pancake rocks. They are very impressive. We continued our drive to a Cole mine have visited it and drove unfortunately to the wrong road.
We stayed the night next to a very cool lake.

day 118

The only thing on this day was to relax, playing cards and eating a lot.

day 117: merry Christmas

24.12.19
We spent the day with the two girls. We visited an old mine goast town. We broke in a house there and in another hall at the campground. And the best thing on this day was the barbecue.

day 116:

23.12.19
Christmas. We wanted to meet Katarina and Anna from lette in the evening , but we did a small walking track and a tunnel track before. We spent the evening on a campground but there was a very rude and annoying guy.

day 115: Franz Josef glacier

This morning was possibly the worst morning ever. At the day before we stayed at a campsite but we couldn't pay course we hadn't the right coins for that. And on our breakfast in the morning there was a ranger who took the money from the paybox. We just expected a huge discussion with him but we were very lucky because he didn't check the car number carefully enough and we were safe. After this frightening experience was our first wish to leave the campsite as soon as possible and we drove to another glacier. It was ok but definitely too touristy. We went to after that to a really great campsite and took a shower.

day 114: walk

We started the day with a quick leaving and a breakfast on a carpark. We walked a walking track through a glacier but it was very touristy and short so we divided to go of road and than another walking track.
The second one was beautiful and pretty hard and actually closed but we do not really care.

day 113

The night was really windy and Peter was quite scared of the tent. It didn't really matter for me course I always sleep in the car. We ate breakfast at a surfing spot in the mountains or at least kind of that. We saw some waterfalls but the weather and the sandflights took our mood down. The highlight of the day was the campsite with a beautiful sunset but unfortunately with millions of sandflights. We had dinner on the beach and suddenly there was a wave which took all our stuff and filled the chococream with saltwater.

day 112: cliff jumps

We have stayed the night at a camping site with a kitchen a washing machine and a dryer. Unfortunately was the dryer damaged so it was not possible for us to start early. We wanted to visit queenstown a little bit and do a cliff jump. Our first stop was the cliff and that was a good decision. The jump was something between 10 and 13 m and the water was ice cold. But I'm so glad and proud of our jumps.
We have visited after that queenstown but it isnt really fun to do that in the rain, so we quite after maybe 1 hour.

day 111

The morning was horrible. The sandflights were everywhere and we only wanted to leave this place. I'm not really sure if it was the best idea to drive so early course Peter and domenik were still quite drunk.
We went to the same lake but on the other side to have breakfast but this day was definitely slower than the other days.

day 110: caves

Our plan for today was to go to a cave in the mountains and domenik decided to come with us. This cave was the most incredible cave I have ever seen. Nobody was there and there was a way into the cave trough some pools with such cold water and a waterfall. We went after that to our campground in the national park. It took us nearly 2 hours to came to this spot and it was wurf, but the biggst problem were the sandflights. Millions of them just wanted to eat us I guess but we tried to ignore them. That was the first fire in New Zealand.

day 109

This day was pretty much the same like the other days although it's never really the same. We had started with a waterfall track and went after that to Intercargill. We visited an old trashy town with heaps of chickens and rubbish everywhere. There were many houses with creepy dolls and I would say it was very cool but I guess Peter doesn't agree with me. We have seen a big sign to many different cities in the world and picked after that a tramper up.
We stayed at a beautiful spot on the beach with a finomimal sunset. We also met domenik aus München kennen.
